elena’s birthday

Happiest of birthdays to one of my very favorite sisters-in-law! I am so glad you came into our family four years ago. Life has certainly changed because of you, and we are blessed to know you. We wish God's best for you this coming year.

Time for gifts (a phone case and a curling wand from us) and a few competitive games of bean bag toss. The competition quickly narrowed down to Brian and Elena, and Elena pulled ahead as the ultimate champion!

To the beach! The weather was beautiful and sunny so we headed to the water. Elena brought her fishing gear, and even though she didn't catch anything (probably because it was just a tad too windy), I think she had a good time. It's hard to have a bad time when you're looking at the bay.

Back to the house for cake! Sarah made an out-of-this-world ice cream cake for Elena. It involved brownies, coffee ice cream, oreos, and other delicious things. It took a lot of self-restraint to only have one piece!

Brian drove Elena to church in his white two seater convertible. :)
